Pets

Harry went into my life when he was only baby in 1989 in England. He was so small and fluffy. He is now almost 9 years old. He loves to sleep, drool, and play. When we was living in England, we didn't have big back yard and Harry didn't bring a lot of birds or mouse home. When we moved back to America in '92, he was very scared and stayed in the house for 2 weeks. That day when Harry finally got out of the house and he started to like our country. He started to bring a lot of dead birds, mouse, and rabbits too! He'd always put them front of our door as a present. I think he's very happy and loves our country better because it's more places to run, play, and hide. Last September 21, 1998 Harry finally came home after 12 days missing, he got hit by a car and had a broken hip. He just had a surgery to take the broken hip which it'd grow back within 1 year. Harry's very brave cat, even thought he's old! :)

Whirly was a surprise present from my mother 1 year after we got Harry. We named her Whirly because she'd always chase her own tail running around! In England, she loved to go out and play with other cats. When we moved to USA, Whirly loved our country better, but, she refused to go outside when it's snowing outside or its cold. She never bought a dead animals home, or maybe, she hated them. She is now almost 8 years old. She loves to get people's attention and loves to sleep with people as well. Harry and Whirly was like a best friend.

BJ was only 3 months old when we picked him up. That's the same day when I ended up in hospital from falling down the stairs and had some cut on my nose. That was August '94. My brother Jonathan and I were arguing with our other brother Tom about what to name the dog. Jon and I wanted to call him Jack but Tom wanted to call him Ben. So, my mother decided to put them together to BJ. Less trouble. He still acts like a puppy but he's only almost 5 years old. My 2 cats didn't get along with BJ for the first 3 months and finally got along with him, but he's scared of my cat Joie!! BJ knows some ASL too such as "sit", "gimme 5", "food", and "Bed". He's very playful dog. He loves to play with new or old people very much.

I took Joie home when she was only one year old when I was at college. The dorms didn't allow pets in the room but I still took her in and hide her from the RA and the people. She had very pure gray hair and very green eyes. That's why I wanted to take black and white picture of here. She was abused before, so that's why she always hide in Melissa's boxes or the closet but she got better later on. Everytime we had fire alarms or doorbell, I would always hide her in the closet with a lot of clothes. The next 20th fire alarm, she'd always go to Melissa's closet, open it by herself and hide there without my help. She would stay there 'til I got back in the room. Never got caught! She is now almost 5 years old. I brought her home to Massachusetts where she can be happy and be more free.
