TASK 2: ADMINISTER NERVE AGENT ANTIDOTE TO SELF
1. Identify mild symptoms of nerve agent poisoning within 4 minutes. (Name 7 out of 8 symptoms)
a. Unexplained runny nose.
b. Unexplained sudden headache.
c. Excessive flow of saliva (drooling).
d. Difficulty breathing or tightness of chest.
e. Difficulty seeing.
f. Muscular twitching of exposed/contaminated skin.
g. Stomach cramps.
h. Nausea.
2. React to the chemical hazard.
a. Put on your FP protective mask.
b. Give the alarm.
3. Prepare to administer one atropine injection.
4. Administer the atropine injection.
5. Prepare to administer one 2 PAM CL injection.
6. Administer the 2 PAM CL injection.
7.Secure the used injectors.
NOTE: Ask the Soldier what should be done next. Then ask what he or she should do after putting on ALL protective clothing. Score steps B through 10 based upon the Soldier's responses.
8. Decontaminate your skin, if necessary.
9. Put on any remaining protective clothing (poncho, CPOG "MOPP" suit etc.).
10. Seek buddy or medical aid.
11. Perform all steps in the correct sequence.
