Students are to report between the hours of 1200 to 1600 on the start date of the training evolution. The building number, directions and other pertinent information will be sent to you two weeks before the start date of your enrolled session.

  • Upon your arrival you will be assigned to a barracks and to a specific bed.

  • You will receive all of your educational material and the reading assignments for the first day of class.

  • The evening meal on Sunday will be served at 1700 hours.

  • At 1900 hours there will be an orientation meeting either in the academy area or at a location to be announced upon arrival.

  • If you drive your car you will be expected to turn in your keys to the Academy Sgt. Major or Deputy Director. They will be placed on a board in his/her office and returned to you at the time of out-processing. You must have in your possession your insurance policy, registration, and driver's license to get a vistor's pass to park on the installation.

  • You will not be driving at any time during the academy cycle.

  • Sick call will be held every morning at 0700. Emergencies will be processed at any time.

  • Any student who requires medication and has it with him/her must inform and discuss the matter with the Academy Sgt. Major or Deputy Director upon arrival. All prescription medication will be turned in with written instructions regarding dosage.

  • A copy of the daily schedule will be given to you upon arrival.

  • Below is a suggested clothing list. You will be issued three (3) Academy tee shirts and an Academy hat upon arrival. You will wear KHAKI pants/skirts and/or KHAKI SHORTS and the issued tee shirt during all classroom sessions and duty hours. (wear one and wash one daily)

  • DO NOT BRING KNIVES, ALCOHOL, TOBACCO PRODUCTS, DRUGS, OR ANY THING WHICH LOOKS LIKE A WEAPON.

  • Smoking is prohibited at any time during the training cycle. If you smoke, you will be sent home. If you wish to withdraw because of this restriction, please advise the director immediately and a refund will be issued forthwith.

  • STUDENTS SHOULD CALL THEIR PARENTS UPON THEIR ARRIVAL AND GIVE THEM THE TELEPHONE NUMBER OF THE BILLETING FACILITY AT THE TRAINING SITE.

  • A cheap electronic pocket calculator will be helpful for classroom and test purposes. (not to exceed $5.00)

  • Do not bring any valuable items.

  • The swimming pool, and snack bar are available for such few periods as the training schedule permits. There will be limited Exchange privileges for those who have valid military or Sea Cadet ID cards.

  • You will have two (2) quizzes each day on the topics discussed and on the reading assignments. If you consistently fail the quizzes you should consider withdrawing from the program.

  • The training cycle ends at 1130 hours on the last day of the training program. Frequently we are able to turn in the building before that time. You should advise you parents of this probability.

  • Van transportation may be available from the airport to the training site. Please contact us with your travel itinerary.

    BRING A CHEAP COMBINATION LOCK. NO KEY LOCKS

    KHAKI SHORTS WILL BE PERMITTED AS PART OF THE DAILY UNIFORM ONLY IF AUTHORIZED BY JUDGE COLBY. IF AUTHORIZED, THE KHAKI SHORTS ARE TO BE NO HIGHER THAN 2 1/2 INCHES ABOVE THE KNEE.

    NO ATHLETIC SHOES WILL BE WORN TO CLASS OR IN FORMATION.
