Auction

We propose to hold our auction of medals and Miltiaria in aid of the Medal Society of Ireland on 18^th April 2009.

For this auction to be a success, we urgently need suitable items of militaria and medals to be consigned.

Please contact either Austin at 046-907-3521 or Liam at 01-289-5085 immediately to submit items for sale.

All items will be sold with only a 10% charge to the vendor and purchaser.

Please support your society by supporting the auction

If you wish you may bring items for the auction along to our medal society meeting and fair on Saturday 7^th March at the teachers club. This will be the final date for submission of lots.

Our next annual auction in January will be the sixth one to be organised by the Medal Society of Ireland. These auctions are invaluable to our members for several reasons. Not only does the auction offer a very reasonable fee of only 10% for vendor or purchaser, it also puts items into circulation. Remember the old phrase "What goes around, comes around." The auction also causes quite a "buzz" and has become an exciting feature of the Society. The auction has put the Society on a more stable financial footing which has given us increased freedom to advertise and promote our society generally.

Submission of Bids

To submit a commission bid on any of the lots please send an email containing your contact details along with the lot number and your maximum bid to the MSOI email address listed below.

Please include in your email subject line the following "MSOI Auction 2009: Commission bid for Lot Number [lot#]"

All commission bids will be acknowledged by e-mail. If you have not received a confirmation after two days please resend the e-mail.

NOTE: In order to be able to verify the authenticity and bona-fides of bidders, commission bids by e-mail will only be accepted from current members of the Medal Society of Ireland who have their contact details on file with the membership secretary.
