Hints for: Morrowind
Another game i've played ALOT this and last year; Morrowind.
here are some tips that may help you stay alive longer and maby
make a buck or two...
Contence:
1. The restorer sword.
2. "Distance is everything".
3. Using the walls as a shield.
4. The Ordinator Toaster
5. Enchantments & Spells
1. The restorer sword.
Why cast restoration on yourself? Why not Fireball on the enemy?
Well, when you learn what "Reflect" means, you'll probably end up
casting spells on yourself.
Here is a sword i enchanted; it threw +Healt and +Fatigue on me every
time it strook the enemy.
2. "Distance is everything".
If you stand too close to someone with a bow, you may become
invulnerable to it's attack(!) This is because the arrow object
is projected from a certain distance, which incidently is just
enough to "move in on the target" and beat the crap out of him/her.
3. Using the walls as a shield.
Use walls as barriers when spellcasters throw stuff at you. I.e. in
this case it was a Dremora casting a fireball on me. I simply strafed
right and the fireball exploded in the wall letting me "drain" the
dremora of magicka, then moving in for the kill.
A: Dremora is casting fireball: (you now move right)
B: The Dremora becomes very very confused when the fireball
explodes in it's face (hehehe...)
4. The Ordinator Toaster
Would you like to be able to toast Ordinators with a level 1
character? Look no further; just follow these steps for loads
of money:
- Start a new game, Create a character (any will do)
- Before leaving Seyda Neen for Balmora, collect all the
Mushrooms you need to complete the first Mages Guild
mission:
- Hypha Facia
- Bungler's Bane
- Violet Coprinus
- Luminous Russula
(All these can be found in or near Seyda Neen.)
- Travel to Balmora, Mages Guild.
- Talk to Ranis Athrys, Sign up for memmbership.
- Talk to Ajira, Get Duties. Mention Muushrooms twice.
- Duties again, Take fake soulgem.
- Run up while Galbedir is heading downn.
- Steal all soulgems, also take the "Limeware Platter"
(It's worth 650 gold)
- Deposit the fake soulgem in Galbedirs desk.
- Head for Caldera (Talk to Masalinie Merian, she will teleport
you there for a few coins.)
- Find Creeper (He.. or rather "IT" is in Caldera, Ghorak Manor)
If this is the first time you look for creeper, make sure you
don't kill it (it's a scamp, but a friendly one! I accidently
killed creeper the first time i saw it...
- Sell all soulgems, except the one you cannot sell. (hint;
Creeper's cash regenerates overnight, and "Shenks Shovel"
(Neighbour to Ghorak Manor) have beds. (top floor is "free" btw.)
- Visit the top floor of Ghorak Manor, In one box there are some
Orchish Armour. You can steal it, the orcs will probably call you
"Coward" but leave you alone. Sell the armor to Creeper.
- You should now have 12000+ gold.
- Go back to the Guild of Mages. Telepoort to Balmora, Buy a the
"Shock" spell from "Estirdalin". (Shock hurts most characters in
the game, including Nords, but not as much...)
- Teleport to Vivec (Mages Guild), gGo down the "Foreign Quarter
Canalworks" (water falls from the walls),
- Find Agrippina Herennia (She's a Clothier); buy a high grade
amulet (I.e. an "Extravagant Sapphire Amulet", i got an Exquisite
Amulet from Balmora Clothier, The best amulet there is.)
- Go back up to the Mages Guild. (Top floor; Plaza) Find "Janaund
Maulinie" (She is an enchanter, So is Galbedir, but Galbedir will
spot her soulgems and you will get a criminal rating.)
- Create the following Enhancement:
(Create any you can afford, i assume that you are only able to
collect ~12000 gold.)
- Equip the Amulet.
- Find a Ordinator.
- Save the game (optional)
- Walk up to the ordinator. Hit him oncce with the "Shock" spell.
- Select "Resist Arrest" from the dialoog window.
The next step is VERY important:
- As quick as you can; Unload the ENTIRE Shock Amulet spell on that
ordinator and...
...guess what? We've just killed one of the stronger characters
in the game (who carry ALOT of expensive armor.) And who are we?
We are a level one looser:
But we have a way of getting lots of cash from toasting ordinators.
Have fun!

the end of my exploration)
