Any reason is a good reason to have a luau, or Hawaiian feast. Here's what you do:
Since it would be difficult to roast a kalua pig in a pit in your backyard, fix the food inside and carry it out!
Pick a warm sunny day when fresh fruit is plentiful and make your own Hawaiian menu.
A plate of sliced bananas and pineapple along with a bowlful of steaming rice are a good start.
Barbecued beef, fish, chicken, or pork would be great, and if you brush the meat with teriyaki sauce, it will really have that Hawaiian flavor.
Place some Hawaiian music, get everyone on their feet to dance a hula, and string leis of leis or flowers for a headband or necklace.
Great fun Hawaiian style!!
