Organizational History:

15 March, 1920: The '88th Regiment Victoria Rifles' and the '50th Regiment' were amalgamted into 'The Canadian Scottish Regiment'.
1 August, 1930: Reorganized as a 2 battalion regiment.
15 December, 1936: Second battalion redesignated '2nd Battalion (MG), The Canadian Scottish Regiment'.
1 September, 1939: The regiment was placed on active service, and the '1st Bn, The Canadian Scottish Regiment (CASF)' was raised, and assigned to 7th Infantry Brigade.
7 November, 1940: The pre-war first battalion was redesignated '3rd (Reserve) Battalion, The Candian Scottish Regiment'.
1 Janurary, 1941: The '2nd Battalion, The Candian Scottish Regiment' was raised.
26 March, 1942: 3rd (Reserve) battalion redesignated '3rd (Reserve) Battalion, The Canadian Scottish Regiment (MG).
15 October, 1943: The 2nd battalion was disbanded.
1 June, 1945: A '4th Battalion, The Canadian Scottish Regiment' was raised for the Canadian Army Occupation Force.
15 Janurary, 1946: The 1st (active) battalion was disbanded.
29 April, 1946: The 4th battalion was disbanded.
