Organizational History:

15 June, 1928: Renamed 'Royal 22e Régiment', from, 'Royal 22nd Regiment'.
1 September, 1939: Regiment placed on active service, and assigned to 3rd Infantry Brigade.
1 June, 1945: A second battalion, the '1st Canadian Infantry Battalion (Royal 22e Régiment)' was raised for the Canadian Army Pacific Force.
2 September, 1945: Second battalion redesignated '2nd Battalion, Royal 22e Régiment'.
1 March, 1946: The '2nd Battalion' was dropped from the second battalion.
1 March, 1946: The active battalion was disbanded.
