Organizational History:
15 September 1920: Renamed 'The Seaforth Highlanders
of Canada', from 'The 72nd Regiment Seaforth Highlanders of Canada'.
1 September 1939: Regiment mobilized, and the
first battalion, 'The Seaforth Highlanders of Canada' placed on active
service, and assigned to 2nd Infantry Brigade.
1 June 1945: A third battalion, '2nd Canadian
Infantry Battalion (The Seaforth Highlanders of Canada)', was raised for
the Canadian Army Pacific Force.
31 October 1945: The first (active) battalion
was disbanded.
1 November 1945: The third battalion was disbanded.
