All men within their life span grow to acquire these manly and godly traits. However, the difference between an ordinary man and a SIGMA MAN, is that a SIGMA MAN is BORN with these inalienable traits. Innate in his being, a SIGMA MAN is only represented by a men of class and distinction. Men of education and occupation. Men of prestige and esteem. Bearers of the Royal Blue and Pure White, a SIGMA MAN is what others strive to be. Only a chosen few are so privileged to wear the letters that hold so much legacy, so much prosperity, so much dignity. Incepted over 88 years ago, Phi Beta Sigma has stood as a pillar for all men to look up to. It has been a stronghold, not only in the African-American community, but throughout the world at large. Lastly, Phi Beta Sigma has been a place that all men (black, white, hispanic, asian, etc) can look up to with pride and honor, knowing that he who bears SIGMA across his chest, also bears SIGMA across his heart. And he who bears SIGMA across his heart was destined to live by the inalienable tenets of BROTHERHOOD, SCHOLARSHIP, and SERVICE.
