Johnny Chapman graduated from Borah High School, Boise, in 1970. I believe he was the first member of the Borah Class of 1970 killed in Vietnam. I knew him relatively well in my high school math class, who would have thought that less than two years from that time he would be killed in Vietnam. I have thought often of the time between high school in Boise and his being killed two years later in Vietnam. I have been to Vietnam many times and my next trip will be this Oct 99. Vietnam seems so different today then it was for Johnny Chapman.
