Well, he is finally here!
On Friday July 16th, Logan Matthew Waggy was born at 7:24 PM. He was 19 inches and 5lbs 15oz. Everyone guessed him for close to 7 pounds, so we were suprised to see he is so small. Deborah was in labor for about 9 hours, only the last couple were rough. I was very proud of how well she did.
For the most part, he is healthy. He had high magnesium and low calcium levels plus he was a little jaundice. With a few vitamins and some photo therapy he was just fine.
We were able to bring him home on Tuesday July 20th. After 5 nights in the hospital we were more than ready. I will be home for the next couple of weeks helping Deborah around the house. Deborah will be at home for two months before going back to work.
I guess this is the part of the story where we say one chapter ends and another begins. I like to think of it as one story ending and the sequel beginning. For a look at our new co-star you can check out the pictures link. |
