Description

SET THE DEFAULT STATE FOR AN APPLICATION WINDOW.

TIP

Most of the applications you use in WINDOWS environment will have at least one window. Some applications allow it's windows to be maximized , minimized or resized by user. Intelligent applications are those which remember its last setting of windows like height , width , top ,left , maximize / minimize status & etc etc. Still in some cases you would like to have a particular status of your application window when you run a application. WINDOWS allows you to specify one of three primary setting of your application window like NORMAL (Application defined) / MAXIMIZED / MINIMIZED. To achieved this follow the simples steps given below.

  1. Right click on the shortcut of the application. for e.g take MS-DOS shortcut on DESKTOP.
  2. Select Property option from context menu.
  3. Select shortcut TAB.
  4. Look for Run: on the screen. You will find three option in combo box. NORMAL WINDOW, MINIMIZED AND MAXIMIZED.
  5. By default it is NORMAL WINDOW. means it depends on the application to set the status of the windows.
  6. Choose MAXIMIZED from the combo box.
  7. Click Apply and Close.
  8. Double click on the shortcut and you will see that the window opened is automatically MAXIMIZED.
