Constituted on the 3rd of July, 1946 as the 106th Ordnance Tank Maintenance Company, allotted to the Missouri National Guard.
Organized and Federally recognized on the 15th of September, 1949 at Springfield.
Redesignated on the 1st of February, 1950 as the 106th Ordnance Heavy Maintenance Company.
Ordered to active Federal service the 19th of August, 1950 at Springfield.
(106th Ordance Heavy Maintenance Company [NGUS] organized and Federally recognized on the 25th of November, 1953 as the 106th Ordance Company [NGUS] at Springfield.}
Redesignated on the 1st of April, 1954 as the 106th Ordnance Company.
Released from active Federal service on the 27th of May, 1955.
and redesignated on the 15, of April, 1959 as Company A, 142d Transportation Battalion HOME STATION: Springfield.
