Tupac Shakur achieved more in his short life-span than nearly anyone in this century. He was one of the most outspoken black leaders, though he never received recognition for his struggles. He deserves to be remembered with such admiration as Malcolm X, Bobby Seale, Martin Luther King Jr., or Jesse Jackson. Despite what politicians would lead one to believe, Tupac's lyrics were only harmful to Americans because they revealed such a profound truth that it frightened people. His words spoke of revolting against a system that is so hypocritical; yet even today, people are too ignorant to see what Tupac depicted to us through his music.
