ARREST OF PERRY COUNTY DEPUTY/K-9 OFFICER

Deputy Freddy White of the Perry County Sheriff's Office was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I and Schedule II Controlled Substances, and Distribution of Schedule I and Schedule II Controlled Substances.  The arrest was the result of a 6 month undercover operation involving the Kentucky State Police, FBI, Attorney General's Office/Public Corruption Unit, ATF, and the U.S. Attorney's Office (HIDTA).  Two Federal Search Warrants were executed, one at Deputy White's house and one at the Perry County Sheriff's Office.  The investigation is continuing.  (Released Sept. 30th, 1999)
