Speed -- 21 knots (surface - on diesels), 8 knots (submerged, on batteries)

Armament: 1945 original configuration:
10 Torpedo Tubes -- (6 forward, 4 aft) with 24 torpedoes (10 in the tubes and 14 reloads)
2 - 5 inch, 25 caliber deck guns, mounted fore and aft of conning tower
2 - 40 mm anti-aircraft cannons, mounted on forward and after cigarette decks on conning tower

1948, after conversion to radar picket configuration:
4 torpedo tubes -- (bow) with 10 torpedoes (2 forward tubes were inactivated, 4 stern tubes were removed)
1 - 40 mm anti-aircraft cannon on foreward cigarette deck (removed in 1953)

1959 to 1968, after conversion to fleet snorkel:
6 torpedo tubes with 12 torpedoes
