Desirability to keep portion of BDE without AFVs:
1. Does initial Force-entry by Parachute/Air Assault to secure DZ/LZ/AZ without having to recover vehicles at another location
2. Time to train and keep foot warfighting skills to a high state of readiness
without AFV PMCS and training distraction
3. Flexibility to be augmented by special transportation means with minimum complications: helicopters, HPVs (All-terrain bikes/carts), FMTV truck transport or ride on top of Light tanks/equivalents for short term missions
