In this section of my page, I will
be explaining the various mods and equipment that you need to increase
your performance on the field. There will be two types of equipment for
the sniper on this page: the Urban Sniper and the Military Sniper.
Urban Sniper
BDUs
The urban sniper must have an appropriate pair of BDUs for the current
environment, or it will all be thrown off. Usually, an urban sniper would
wear Black or Navy Blue BDUs, but, in very urban areas where there is a lot of debri, Urban Camo if preferred. Even Woodland can be used: it all depends on the mission.
Just always be sure it is the correct type. If I were you, I wouldn't wear the black type, because it creates a silhouette of yourself against the night.
Kevlar/Nomex/Polypropylene Balaclava
For those of you who do not know, a balaclava is the "ninja mask" that
most urban snipers wear. There is a Kevlar made protective mask, which means
it is resistant to knife cuts; a Nomex Hood that is resistant to fire; and a polypropylene mask that is more comfortable than the other two. These are good with any of the BDUs above, and
offer good head concealment for those will bright/reflective skin.
Binoculars
For observing the target before being commanded to take the shot, binoculars
are essential. Although the spotter of your sniper squad usually uses these,
it never hurts to have them. Any power from 8-15 is good, and be sure to have large objective lenses, like 40 or 50mm.
Tactical Sniper Vest
The Tactical Sniper Vest was designed expecially for snipers. Made by Blackhawk, this vest has the unique feature of being able to be reversible: when cralwing, you can secure the magazine and ammo pouches behind you; and while carrying a back pack, the pouches can be put in front of you.
Shooter's Stock Pack
These things strap onto the right side of your butt stock, and hold ammo for you. Well, although you have no use for the little bullet loops, if you put some inert rounds into those, it will look cool ;) But, you can also store bags of BBs or magazines in the storage container, which doubles up as a cheek rest.

Military Sniper
Camouflage/Ghillie Suit
Since the average military sniper usually operates in the "bush", some
good camouflage is a MUST...but you already knew that. Now, Ghillie suits
are optional. they are basically jump suits with pieces of camo mesh/various
colored tattered rags sewn onto it, breaking up the distinctive human form.
It "blends" you into your surroundings. However, some say that they get
caught on too many things, and are too cumbersome.
Sniper Face Veil
This also helps break up the human form, and allows your entire face
to be covered, yet you get to still see out of it. Has a variety of dark,
drab colors on it, blending in with the environment.
