UX Super 9 Sniper
UPDATE
Ok guys I know a lot of you have
been looking for a review on the Super 9, so here goes. The UX Super 9
Sniper UHC's answer to the airsoft sniping field. It is a bolt action rifle
that features Rear Peep and Front blade sights, 10 Shells(which hold in
the BBs using rubber lining), a magazine with a 5 round capacity, and a
side mountable 30 round magazine. Believe it or not the super 9 has more
metal than most springers I've seen, of course the stock is Plastic(sturdy
ABS), the rifle has many metal parts as well, the bolt, most of the receiver,
the outer and inner barrels, trigger, trigger guard, and sling swivels.
The rear peep sight is adjustable for height and windage so that's rather
nice. I believe that the Super 9 is scope mountable but I haven't figured
out how to do so. On a number of post people have said that they took off
the rear sight(which easily can be disassembled) and make groves in the
side of the two bases for a scope(that's one thing that confuses me there's
a scope mount sort of base in front of the site but w/o grooves). The bolt
comes up and back much like any real steel bolt actions I've used. Shells
can either be loaded in the magazine while its in the rifle or externally.
The stock is fairly heavy and weighted, and features a Monte Carlo styled
cheek piece.
Assembly
Assembling the Super 9 is fairly
easy also. When you open the box you are greeted by the bolt, receiver,
barrel, and stock, all unadjoined. The instructions are fairly easy to
understand, all you need to assemble is a Phillips head, but there is one
trick not mentioned in the instructions. When assembling the barrel before
screwing it in(and check after your done assembling also) take the barrel
and gun assemble, and point the barrel to the floor(preferably carpet)
and lightly tap(vertically) or put pressure on the barrel on the floor,
you will hear it snap in. If you do not do so it will not fire right AT
ALL. Other than that you should have nothing wrong or really tough, other
than Shorty's Ghastly blaze paint, that's tougher than crap to get off.
Firing
When firing the Super 9 you will
probably be surprised by the range, the gun is pretty accurate with bear
sights up to approximately 40-50 yds. It is probably 400fps because it
out powers a crosman pistol I have that shoots 400FPS. I would probably
use it in a skirmish as a sniper rifle.
Conclusion
The Super 9 is great for its price.
I would recommend it for snipers just starting out. I will probably mount
a scope and add a bipod. I haven't had any problems yet but if i do I'll
let you know.
UPDATE!!
Ok i got an update, I've purchased
a nice little scope and a nice sling. Soon I'll be getting a bipod and
start working on my Ghillie Suit. As a backup weapon, Im probably going
to get the Korean Electric MP5K(its only $40!!!). I'll use it to jsut kinda
spray the area as a way of last resort. I also have a WWII helmet with
a net so im going to use it as a companion for my ghillie, I can use the
net to stick stuff in it and the helmet will deflect BBs. Also Im thinking
of getting tanker goggles to put over my helmet and to pull over my eyes
if a huge firefight should erupt.
