An actual review of this gun.
The UHC Super 9 Sniper Rifle is one of the more controversial and debatable
sniper rifles on the market. There are many different opinions on this
gun: some claim that it is a worthless piece of crap; others claim that
it is a well made durable sniper rifle. Of course, since I do not own this,
I can only inform on what i have heard (just like all of the other sniper
rifles). the metal parts of this rifle include the trigger, the barrel,
the bolt, and the sling swivels are all metal. It is said to be a rifle
with a solid feel by some. While some claim that it is a little back heavy,
they say that the overall feel of the gun is good, and that the bolt is
heavy and solid. A little too heavy, as said by some. However, others claim
this weapon to be very light in holding it, and it felt as if they were
going to break it. It gave them that "flimsy" feeling. Even more so, after
working the action, one person claimed that it felt as if the bolt were
about to fall off!!! But, let us get away from all this talk. It is fairly
cheap (Fain's
Airsoft and Shorty
USA: $120), so I may plan on getting one for review purposes or for
a friend. The gun comes disassembled, so you have lots of room to modify
right out of the box! One kick-ass feature about this gun is that it comes
with a shell-ejecting mechanism. The gun itself can hold five rounds in
a rotary clip, with five plastic "rifle shells" that really eject after
the action is worked. However, if you do not care about this feature or
you want a larger ammo capacity, there is an external feeder that can hold
30 BBs to meet your needs. It fits over the ejection port, and feeds one
BB into the gun each time the bolt is worked. The gun is said to be based
on the Remington 700 Sniper Rifle (drool...). The muzzle velocity of this
gun is said to be a little bit under 300 fps, but Shorty USA and Fain's
claim that the velocity is 410 fps with a .12g BB, allowing 150' effective
range, but 175' max!!! However, I have yet to hear anyone verify these
claims. Mounting a scope on this, however, is a little difficult: the "sight
rail" is not scope-compatible, so you have to cut away at the plastic (yes,
plastic) "mount" in order to have a scope. However, some say that having
a scope that is too heavy will break the plastic, therefore rendering mounting
a scope impossible. But, as recently discovered fromTOYGUN's Super 9, mounting
a scope does not seem too impossible. I am interested to hear how he did
it. |
