Founded in 1995, the Rockland Civil War Round Table is a non-profit organization dedicated to exploring, discussing, understanding and preserving the history of the American Civil War. We meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:30PM, at the American Legion Hall, located on Railroad Avenue, Pearl River, New York. Changes in the meeting location, date and time are announced in advance. We make at least one field trip per year to a battlefield with a recognized expert as our guide. The trip usually takes place in May. Previous battlefield trips have included - 1996 - Gettysburg 1997 - Antietam 1998 - Manassas 1999 - Chancellorsville 2000 - Richmond 2001 - Lee's Retreat 2002 - Shenadoah Valley 2003 - Harpers Ferry 2004 - Washington D.C. Additionally, we have adopted the 124th NY Monument at Gettysburg and we make an annual trip to "clean up" that position every year in October. Annual dues for an individual are $30.00 per year. Family and Junior memberships are also available. You are cordially invited to attend a few meetings to see if our Round Table is right for you. For more information you can call Paul Martin at (914) 245-8903, or you can e-mail us at Rockland Civil War Round Table |
