INTRODUCTION
My name is Gunnery  Sergeant Michael J. Vigil. I am currently stationed at the Marine Corps Air  Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, Californinia. I am the Chief  Instructor for the Computer Technician Course at the Marine Corps  Communication-Electronics School.
I am originally from  Alamosa, Colorado, where I graduated from high school in 1979. I briefly  attended college at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colorado. Soon I  ran out of money and decided to enlist in Marine Corps, 15 April,  1980.
My career in the Marine  Corps has been an educational experience. I started out as a radar repairer,  then a radar technician, then an Unmanned Air Vehicle avionics/powerplant  technician. Due to an MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) realignment, I am  now a computer technician teaching computer maintenance and LAN  maintenance/administration to Marines.
I am a veteran of Desert  Shield/Desert Storm. I was attached to the Third Remotely Piloted Vehicle  Company , First Surveillance Reconnaissance Intelligence Group. While deployed  we were attached to the First Marine Division during Desert Shield and then to  the Third Marine Division.
