General Macarthur said one day
Old soldiers never die, they just fade away…
Away from the battles and the Far away post.
Away from the orders and their superior host.
The war is over, our country is safe.
The old soldier relaxes and slows his pace…
he remembers his comrades and the adventures they shared:
The good times and the bad, the happy times and the sad.
The old soldier lies down , his dreams are waning.
With no adventures left to challenge, and no distant lands left to roam,
he slowly fades away to his fathers home.

16 million WWII veterans returned home from the war 10 million have died and the
rest are dying at a rate of 1000 a day
