THE OHIO LST/AMPHIBS IS AN ORGANIZATION OF VETERANS OF THE AMPHIBIOUS FORCES OF THE USA. IT IS A NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO FINDING OLD SHIPMATES AND PROVIDING A FORUM TO RECOUNT HAPPENINGS THAT OCCURED IN THE SERVICE.

Bob Finkel,LST 41, is standing beside the memorial. Bob is formerly from Marietta and passed this very spot in sailing his LST from Pittsburgh to the war in the Pacific.

This is an overall view of the waterfront park in which the memorial is located. The memorial is just on the far side of the Gazebo,facing out over the Ohio River.
