Who was Col. Zenas Bliss? A short history lesson!
Camp 12 is one of the most active Camps in the Department and the leader in the Graves Registration Program, having started the database that the Department now uses and setting goals to be the first Camp to complete this project. Additionaly, the goals of the Camp are to insure that all of
the Civil War Veterans buried in our district have their graves flagged on or by Memorial
Day. Another important service is to work with the Department to teach the history of
the Civil War and the men that fought in it, centering on Rhode Islands important role. We can be reached at Col. Zenas R Bliss Camp 12, PO Box 820, Greenville, RI 02828.
