This is my tribute to the American Heros....
The men and women of the Armed Forces.

Thoughout history man has always called upon ordinary people to become extraordinary warriors in times of national crisis and peril from a full-scale war to a peace keeping mission. These men and women have always risen to the highest places of courage and integrity in protecting their fellow citizens.
The most controversial was Vietnam. From August 5, 1964 to May 7, 1975 over 9 million personnel served on active duty. A total of 58,202 men and 8 women paid the supreme sacrifice--death. It is my opinion that these brave men and women were treated badly; not only by many Americans, but definitely by the American government. Many Americans refused offer support and encouragement for these their fellow Americans who wore the uniforms of our armed services, maligning them publicly in the media and reviling them upon their return from active duty. The American government failed by refusing to supply needed military support to get the job done. So many lives wasted, so much effort for nothing.
Today our government still treats the veterans of this war poorly. Information pouring in from Southeast Asia since the war's end has stated that many American prisoners remain alive and in captivity. The government has received nearly 10,000 such reports, yet little effort has been made to find these prisoners and secure their freedom.
