What is this Cord thing anyway?

What is Cord?

Cord has to do with the junior high youth group (also known as Gap) at South Delta Baptist Church, in Tsawwassen, B.C. (that’s British Columbia, in CANADA, in case ya didn’t know).

Cord groups are small groups of about 5-6 guys or girls and a leader who meet at least once a month. The leader disciples the students, and they have TONS, I MEAN, BIG, FLIPPIN’ POWDER KEGS of fun. A special bond forms in a Cord group. Cord is truly for life, and if you take on one Cord brother, you take on them all.

This site will deal with the Men in Cord, Cord X and Cord Terminate. First, a bit about the Men in Cord.

The Men in Cord are comprised of leader Jason Humeniuk, and students (in alphabetical order) Andrew Cox, Chris Finch, Andrew Gee, Justin G., Murray Marcoupolous, and Mike Simpson. This was the greatest Cord ever. We were the only one of the original Cords to keep doing stuff, and we were the only ones who made a name for ourselves. [To find out more about the MIC, read the “Legends of the Cord” and also the bios of the members] We still live on in spirit, but a New Cord Order (if you will), has emerged.

In this new order, the MIC has been divided. Now two powerful Cord groups have emerged. Cord X consists of Andrew Cox, Chris Finch, Justin Guptell, Blair Lasell, Murray Marcoupolous, and Matt Schelpe. Our leader is Grant Frederikson (who is also the junior high director at our church). Cord Terminate is lead by Jason Humeniuk, and is membered by Cam Anderson, Andrew Gee, Jordan Scott, Mike Simpson, and Bill Switzer (yes, the Bill Switzer of “Eerie Indiana”). These Cords, since they both contain the remnants of the MIC, are allied. Together they form the most dramatic, explosive, dominating (not to mention cool) force ever: XTERMINATE!!! (get it... like exterminate!) Now, they are poised to RULE THE WORLD!!!

This is what we call Cord. If you would like to know more about us please feel free to e-mail us at:
