Pfc James Anderson Jr. For his actions on 2-28-67
Curled his body around a grenade to protect fellow Marines
Capt Stephen W. Pless For his actions on 8-19-67 Flew
his helicopter into position between the crewmen and the
enemy despite heavy fire to retrive wounded crewman
Lcpl Lester W. Weber For his actions on 2-23-69 Made
himself the target of concentrated fire to protect his
fellow Marines
Lcpl Roy M. Wheat 8-11-67 Hurled himself on a mine to save fellow Marines
Pfc Dewayne T. Williams 9-18-68 Already wounded himself rolled on a grenade to save fellow Marines
Lcpl Richard A Anderson already wounded rolled himself on a grenade to save fellow Marines
Pfc Oscar P. Austin 2-23-69 He took most of a grenade detonation and ignored his injuries and threw himself in front of enemy fire to save his buddy`s life
A true American Hero LCPL Jedh C. Barker 9-21-67 Although wounded twice, threw himself on a grenade to protect fellow Marines then crawled to a fellow Marine and gave him first aid before succumbing to his grievous wounds.
