I cannot believe they still have people assigned to that God Forsaken place. The words "Locked on at Bogue" still sends chills down my spine. I do have some crazy memories from Bogue, like riding through Bogue, butt naked on the back of a Crash Truck bein driven by Sgt. Massey, during a lightning storm,(A long story but very hetrosexual, I assure you). The night the PMO barracks caught fire, we did more damage than the fire for them boys! Towing a TA-4 Cockpit mockup down the runway in the middle of the n ght, at top speed with a truck to simulate flight for the unlucky guys inside. The ugliest dog I've ever seen named "Handline", but smarter than most SNCO's on the base. Talking a certain Staff NCO into letting me and Joe Schmidt go to Swainsboro to get c rryout food one night in exchange for bringing him back some Thunderbolt Wine. Joe Schmidt AKA Eddie Haskell was the masters of "get over". He taught me well!! This was back in the days when Crash Crew was made up of a lot of current and future Felons. They were an interesting bunch. I'm done!
