The McEvoy - Dempsey Post shares the Veterans Memorial Building with six other Veterans Organizations.... The building has been a Veterans Memorial since shortly after World War I....

The Post holds monthly meetings on the third Thursday of each month at 11:00 a.m.... The meetings are held in the Post Home located on the corner of Atwater and Seymour Avenues in Derby....Any and all veterans are invited to attend these meetings....
Please Note: No meetings in July and August....

If you are an honorably discharged veteran and your dates and location of service meet the Veterans of Foreign War criteria, you should inquire into membership in the VFW.... In addition to becoming a member of one of the largest Veterans Organizations in the United States, you will have the opportunity to assist your local Post in their service to the community in which you live....
