The members of Knap's Battery take a break during filming for the 1990 Academy Award winning movie "Glory". The battery traveled to Atlanta, GA and participated in several days of filming for the Antietam scenes in the movie. The move stars Matthew Broderick, Denzel Washington, and Morgan Freeman, and focuses on the story of the 54th Massachusetts Regt., the first black regiment to fight for the North in the Civil War. The above photo was taken on the movie set, and the dead horses and limber are actually movie props for the battle scenes. (No they're not real, we didn't kill them, and we weren't getting ready to have them for lunch!!)
