Sometimes it rains!! This is a photo of Knap's camp, between rain showers, during the Gettysburg re-enactment at Herr's Ridge, July 1, 1995. This one rained so hard that we actually had a trench running "under" the campfire in order to divert the water to keep the fire burning. But we still made the best of it, built a few makeshift "corduroy roads" out of firewood (above), piled the hay high in the tents, and did our best to stay dry ( but to no avail). Better days ahead!
