Our Memory Lights will shine, as a beacon for all to see, until terrorism is stamped out from our land and our young people are home free.

Our shining lights, all over the world, will be our pledge to you of our support and we will not let you down.

The lights in the windows will remind us each day to pray for your safety, for God's sheltering arms to be about you, and for your daily needs to be met.  We will ask God to take care of all those you love and keep them safe for your return.  Please God hasten that day.

We will remember that all the darkness in the world can not extinguish our little lights.

Furthermore, we will renew the pledge of President Lincoln
        "To care for him who shall have borne the battle,
        and for his widow,
        and his orphan."
