3RD Tennessee
Volunteer Infantry
The year was 1862 and America was at war. Of all the soldiers who took part in the Civil War none had as hard a choice as those from East Tennessee. As they watched the majority of Tennessee fight for the Confederacy and even saw their home state secede from the Union these men followed their hearts and fought for the preservation of the United States.
The following site is devoted to one of those loyal Tennessee units that my Great-Great Grandfather fought with. If you have any information on this unit please feel free to contact me, and I hope you enjoy!
