Killed In Action from a incident on 06/05/70 while performing the duty of Crew Chief.
Today is a sad day for the Gators as they have lost friends as well as fine aviators. GATOR 68-16354 was shot down by enemy gunners and along with her she took the lives of WO ROUSELL, WO LUNDEQUAM. SP/4 BROADSTON,and 4 soldiers from the 1/14th Infantry. The only survivor of the crash was PFC COMES, who was flondering in the water after attempting to help WO LUNDEQUAM,who had already perished.
On JUN 8th at 1930 hours,In Ankhe Viet Nam memorial services were held for the 3 deceased crew members of GATOR 354. An elite group such as an Assault Helicopter Company feels the loss of their friends, who have given their lives for their country.
This Wall is dedicated to the Arizona Vietnam Vets ,
that did not return. May they rest in peace.
May they never be forgotten.
