NOW

Infanterie Regiment 134 is a living history unit based in Atlanta, Georgia.  A unit of the National Military Historical Association, our members portray soldiers of the 2d Company of the "Hoch- und Deutschmeister" from the period 1939-1945.

DISCLAIMER:

This unit and its people do not represent or advocate National Socialism or any of its outgrowths.   The display of the National Emblem or other insignia is done as a part of the accurate portrayal of the soldiers of the period.  We try to portray the common soldier in a somewhat uncommon unit - a unit that was being recognized for its bravery at the end of a bitter war as other long- favored units such as the LAH,  were being berated for their failures.  We provide an important foil to the Allied forces at public display battles and living
history events.  The victory of the American, British and Soviet forces did not come easily; units like the Hoch-und Deutschmeister had to be overcome to achieve the Allied victory.  Victory for the Allies would not have been as significant if the German army had been composed of Klinks and Schultzes. An accurate portrayal may permit the uninformed to gauge more accurately the difficulty and the sacrifice made by all soldiers in achieving what General Eisenhower titled: "The Crusade in Europe."
