German and Austrian POW's

in America

I am interested in the research of German and Austrian POW's in the United States during World War 2. My father, Charles H. Koegel was a mechanic in the Army Air Corps at Olmsted Field, Pennsylvania from 1944 - 1945. During his tour, he made friends with 6 German/ Austrian prisoners of war. They worked under him as mechanics.

One Christmas, they hand made a Christmas card and signed it:

"In memory of the POW Camp Olmsted Field"

Their names are Johann Pentenrieder, Jakub Schmitz, Willi Beinert, Willi Steckelbach, Rudolf Kirchhofs and Anton Neumann.

My father passed away in 1994 and had always wanted to know how these men did after the war.

If anyone has information on these men or my father, Charles H. Koegel, let me hear from you. Also if you have a similar interest, let me hear from you also.
