THE LIGHTER SIDE
WE ALL NEED TO SMILE :-)
The Miracle Is This
The More We Share - The More We Have
In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life. It goes on!
Robert Frost
This web site was created for wives, families and care-givers of Veterans. It's purppose is to share our feelings, our concerns, our ideas, our care-giving secrets and support each other.
This is for those who have been there, done that, and for those just getting started. We spend our allotted 25 hours a day being tied in various types of knots.
Dear God,
So far today, I've done all right.
I haven't gossiped;
I haven't lost my temper;
I haven't been selfish, greedy, grumpy, or overindulgent.
I'm very proud of that.
But, in a minute, God, I'm going to get out of bed,
And from then on, I'm probably going to need a lot more help!
Amen
Good Morning,
This is GOD!
I will be handling all your problems today. I will not need your help. So, have a good day!
We are the Partners of Special People.
We are the Proud, the Elite, a part of the Fighting Unit
With the Special People we will love for the rest of our lives.
The road we travel with these Special People
Is a winding road filled with many obstacles.
Each mountain we move, each pothole we fill,
Makes the going smoother for us and our Special People.
We are not the first to travel this road. We won't be the last.
Coming together as a unit, with each Partner using their own special talent,
Will make our efforts seem easier.
By banding together, the Partners of Special People can leave
Hard packed ground so those behind us won't have it so rough.
SERENITY PRAYER
GOD, grant me the SERENITY to accept the things I cannot change,
COURAGE to change the things I can,
And the WISDOM to know the difference.
GOD, give us grace to accept with SERENITY the things that cannot be changed,
COURAGE to change the things which should be changed,
And the WISDOM to distinguish the one from the other.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as HE did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that HE will make all things right if I surrender to HIS Will;
That I may be reasonally happy in this life and supremely happy with HIM
Forever in the next.
Amen
