On today's mission after coming off the target the nose gunner (Madigan) called the navigator (Hollmann) and said the Bombadier is hit come on down. The navigator goes to the nose sans oxygen mask and the bombardier is O.K. Going back to the flight deck a flack hit came close enough to flip the wing up and the navigator curls up in the corner where the put-put should have been. Grabs ‘shute and bomb-bay door handle and almost out before ship comes off level again. A very rough day.
