I am happy to know that through you I had some contribution to that, albeit some 25 years later. |

Jaime Jua'rez - 03/26/99 01:04:09 My Email:jamie_juarez@hotmail.com | Comments: Sir, I was searching the internet for U.S. Ranger stories when I came across that of Jaime Pacheco. I am a 26 year old Mexican American born in Jua'rez, Mexico and raised in Aurora, Illinios. As a young man I entered into the Marine Corps. right after gradu ting from high school and was released before my time was up because of a medical problem. Not satisfied with not completing my tour as many other soldiers I took it all the way to Congress to reverse thier decision that was made years earlier. I currentl am back in the Military only this time I am going to be commissioned as an Officer in the U.S. Army. While reading the story on Jaime I was deeply touched in the way this young man gave his life so that others may be saved. I am in my final phase of R.O. .C at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinios and have learned the ways in which a Christian lives and interacts with others lives. I took your story to heart because before I went to Wheaton College I didn't know or even cared to know what it ment to be a C ristian and love Jesus the way I have been shown over the past years. I deeply regret that sometimes we must loose something in order to gain something else but only Jesus can heal that emptyness. I can't tell you enough how much I enjoyed the memories of Jaime, I was sitting in my office just surfing the net after work and the story hit me so hard that I broke down into tears and had to shut my door. I thank you for letting people like me read this it brings a smile to my face to know that even in combat he littlest things will be forever remembered. I can honestly say that I will always remember this story, for two reasons 1. I took the time to print it in hopes that I too will share this story with my fellow soldiers in times of question. 2. I know tha God intended me to see this today, for some reason I was indirectly lead there so that I know that Jesus works in mysterious ways. I thank you again I will always remember "GOD IS GOOD"- Jaime Pacheco AMIGO - Asta Luego Jaime Jua'rez "B" Co. 17th Psyops Battalion/ |
