interests are: Chess; Computers; Genealogy; World History (prior to the 1800's); Reading (horror, fantasy, historical, sci-fi, and espionage); and a multitude of other things |

| Over the past
couple of years, my interest in GNU/Linux and other Free/Open Source
Software (FOSS) has grown. I currently run a mixed environment at home
with Microsoft Windows products and two flavors of Linux; Debian and
Slackware. My preference and majority of use the GNU/Linux systems,
even as a desktop OS, has grown along with my general interest. I only
keep Microsoft Windows around for gaming purposes when I find the time
to play one. At least until the time that gaming companies start
producing games for GNU/Linux the way they do for Microsoft Windows
systems. |

| The FOSS community
has been under attack lately from a couple of different directions.
Mostly from one direction, but indirectly from no other than the
convicted monolopist in Redmond, Microsoft. |
