SUPPORTING THE YOUTH OF THE REGION
Newcastle RSL Air Cadets, is a youth organisation set up to offer the youth of the region a place to express their interest in aviation and the Defence Forces. The Squadron has been formed to offer both boys and girls a chance to learn about aviation and aeroplanes in a non-sexist environment. The entry age is designed to allow the younger members of the community a chance to join. Our organisation is the only one of its type that allows entry as young as eight (8) and is the only non-paramilitary organisation that allows both sexes in a Squadron.
Newcastle RSL Air Cadets, Flag Party, ANZAC Day, Newcastle.
The unit is run with both male and female Officers to oversee and guide the members through their years with the Air Cadets.
The Newcastle RSL Air Cadets is a disciplined organisation designed to build character and leadership in our members. The Squadron operates with a rank structure, cadets are encouraged to seek promotion, which comes via a comprehensive training program.
Have you ever been flying in a light aircraft or helicopter? Have you ever abseiled or been rock climbing? Do you know how an aeroplane works? Have you ever been on a military base? Want to know what a base is really like? Do you know how to survive in the bush? Do you want to learn to be a leader?
You can do all this and more with the Newcastle RSL Air Cadets.
