River Raisin Battlefield Visitor Center

The River Raisin Battlefield Visitor Center is located in Historic Monroe Michigan.
It is the site of the Battles of Frenchtown or sometimes referred to as the Battles of the River Raisin during the War of 1812.
The River Raisin Battlefield Visitor Center is Monroe's newest historical interpretive site.
The Museum offers a fifteen minute fiber optic map presentation , and life-sized dioramas depicting the soldiers who fought in the Battles.


War of 1812 Soldiers

The Battles and Massacre of the River Raisin,
were among the largest military encounters in the
War of 1812. More American casualities occurred
here than in any other single battle.
