The reason we got a Akita (Princess) instead of a Chow Chowbecause of all the problems I had with Sonya.I just couldn't bear acquiring a unhealthy Chow.The Chow breeders in my area are in it for the moneyand not for the well-being of the breed.

Well Princess and Bear are getting along great. Bear needed a friend and he adjusted to Princess quickly. My cats had a harder time adjusting but they finally came around ( after a couple of weeks)

When we first got Princess she weighed 18lbs and she was only three months old.Now she is around 80 lbs and she is 14 months old.Her vet said when she is full grown she should weigh around 100 lbs. Princess is showing all of her Akita traits. She loves to talk to us.She got Bear talking to us to he never did before and we had him for two years.She loves to carry things around the house but we have to break her from hiding our shoes. The trait I'm worried about is her shyness.I socialize her with people every chance I get.She seems to put her tail down and run every time somebody comes over.(My Chow Chow Sonya did the same thing)
