The following foods are what I feed Dawg. I cut the greens up jaw length or smaller. I remove the hard center core from the greens so that he doesnt choke on them. I use a salad shooter to cut up the fruits and veggies and then I mix all the ingredients together and put them in a tupperware bowl with a lid. I can store the salad in the fridge for 4 days and it will remain fresh. I never make more then 4 days worth at a time. I like his salad to be fresh for him and he seems to enjoy it more that way also.

  • Romaine Lettuce
  • Endive Lettuce
  • Yellow Squash :Fruit
  • Strawberries : fruit
  • Apple: fruit
  • Mustard Greens : leaves
  • Collard Greens: leaves
  • Kiwi : peeled and chopped
  • Hibiscus: Flowers and leaves as a TREAT
  • Chicken Breast: Broiled or baked no skin no seasoning
  • egg: scrambled
  • carrots: chopped finely

I will pick 3 of the greens out of this list and that will be one batch of food. My ratio on mixing food is:

  • 10% veggies
  • 10% fruit
  • Once a month I add a multivitamin to his food: Centrium
I feed him at 8:00AM and then at 6:00 PM. If he is still hungry after that he usually sits on his food dish till I bring him a bed snack. His snacks will vary from night to night.
  • small slice of american cheese: he has to eat snacks from my hand
  • about a tablespoon of bread cut up very small
  • broccoli: very small portion
  • beets: small bit only
