“Pet piggies” are what get a lot of people hooked into the cavy fancy. Some people deliberately stick with their un-papered pets and enjoy the variety of colours, etc. that eventuate in the mixed-breeding process; others move on to the more serious side of breeding purebred fancy varieties that have detailed pedigree papers.
There is no doubt that the personable pet piggy has earned a place in many a heart around the world, so we are going to get a list of sites together for the people who want piggies for their pets, not for their pedigrees. There's no snobs in this section of cavydom (at least, there shouldn't be!)
