Sheltie Quilt from the National!

This quilt was put together by Arlene Soderlund of Imajes Shetland Sheepdogs. If you'd like to contact her for more information, please contact her at her email address: imajesheltie@owc.net

.

Statistics of the quilt: This queen sized quilt was started in December 1996 and was finished by April 1997. All the quilting was done by machine, the sheltie pattern was adapted from a stained glass collie pattern by Randy DeMello, the book was called Dog Gone DeMello.

This quilt has the normal sheltie colors: 8 sables, 4 pure for sable and 4 tri-factored; 8 blacks, 4 Tri-colored and 4 Bi blacks; 9 blues (my personal favorite) 5 blue with tan and 4 Bi-blues.

Every Sheltie is uniquely marked just like the breed is. One half of the Proceeds went to National Sheltie Rescue.

I named the Quilt - Every Sheltie Deserves a Log Cabin (note log cabin quilt pattern).
