"THE NNL IS PROUD TO PRESENT"

" MONTGOMERY COUNTY DOG SHOW"

On Sunday October 4, 1998 at Ambler Campus Temple University, in Ambler PA, there is held one of the largest Terrier Specialty Dog Show, in North America. This show draws enteries from all over the world. I am told it is a must show to go to if you love and or breed Terriers.

The Montgomery Dog Show was first held in 1929 and had an entry of 189 Terriers. Best In Show that year was a Wire Fox Terrier called "Iveshead Scamp" and was owned by F.N. Taliaferro, of Hicksville NY and the dog was handled by Leonard Brumby Sr..

In 1997 there where 2,415 Terriers entered and Best In Show went to Canadian and American Champion FAIREWOOD FROLIC a NORWICH TERRIER. "ROCKIE" was handled by Peter Green, Bred by Lotus Tutton of Ontario Canada, Owned by Sandina Kennels Reg.

Thanks to Phoebe Oshirak of Lewisburg PA, a NNL member, we have some pictures to share with everyone. These pictures where taken at this years show on October 4, 1998. Some of these pictures are of other club members and and their dogs. A few shots are of persons we do not know but the dogs where cute so they are here. If you see you or your dog here Please Feel Free to contact us and we will gladly add your name to the picture..

All Terriers flock to Mongomery and do their best to get ringside seats. As in the case of this very smart Norwich, sometimes owners come in handy to see over the heads of others, to watch relatives in the ring.. This wee man is Ch Chestnuthill Hubcab. Hubcap belongs to Ross and Ann Taylor, Hubcap is standing on owner Ross' shoulder.(At this time the Taylors are not members of the club and are here thanks to our Photographer)

Here we have the charming Miss Weeza and Mom Phoebe, ready to watch the Terriers being judged at Devon.

Here we have Helene Gisin of Little Tramont Kennels in Switzerland showing Ch Chestnut Hills Royal Blue. "Blue" is owned by Anna Bellenger. "Blue" is also the sire of "Miss Weeza"

When you have food in your hand, or even a toy, you not only have the full attention of your Terrier, but there is always some one else looking to get a bit of the action.

Miss Weeza, not to be out done by her father "Blue", snuggles up to Anna Bellenger, owner of Devondale kennels.

We are pleased to show Suzanne Orban-Stagle with her boy Urchin's Just In Tyme, Justin to his friends. Justin was bred by Catherine Stephen, Urchin Kennels, B.C. Canada. We are all very proud of Justin as he won Winners Male while at the Devon show for a will deserved major. Congratulations Suzanne.

We hope you all enjoyed the pictures and should you have any more to share let us know we will put them up on the pages. Thanks to everyone.
