My first award!

We got a chance to mew about our favorite lighthouses. We took my human brother and sister-in-law to see Pemaquid Point lighthouse and we all love it.
|
We studied the Brontė Sisters and I mewed about their house, which was a parsonage, because their father was a minister.
|
We were asked to mew about our favorite Victorian artist. Mine is Claude Monet, but I like to call him Meownet because I am a jokester. I also mewed about Charles Wysocki, who isn't a Victorian artist, but he does such great cat art that he should be included.
|
We also mewed about the Victorian author, Charles Dickens. He has many wonderful works, but I like "A Christmas Carol" best of all. It teaches us to enjoy life and be good to our fellow man and not to hoarde away our affections and emotions. And it's exciting with all those spirits, too. It kept me on the edge of my kitty condo.

I love all forms of Victorian architecture, with its turrets and gables. My Mom and Dad took my human sister to Canada and stayed way at the top of Chateau Frontenac. You can see a picture of it by clicking on the badge.

We were asked to imagine being Queen Victoria's cat. What fun that would be...having a huge castle to run and play in. I would have my own suite, filled with silk and satin pillows and a huge feather bed with velvet coverings. I would have milk fresh from the royal cows and spit-roasted pheasant, probably shot by Prince Albert himself while out with the royal huntsmen.

For our Earth Day celebration, I submitted the URL to my Mom's Earth Day background sets. She wanted everyone to be able to show their website support of Earth Day, 2000 by using pretty backgrounds. |
We mewed about our Moms. I told what little I know about my furmom, but since I have been with my human mom for 14 years, I mostly mewed about her. |
I suggested Victorian traditions as an activity for the Society and mewed about that subject. |
I also suggested learning about Victorian Etiquette. It is very interesting to know about some of the rules they had for their behavior.
|
I discussed Victorian swimsuits, called Bathing Costumes. |
With Father's Day approaching, I mewed about my very special human Dad. He is certainly my hero.
